Worked out as accurately as we can from the current NATIS fee tables for a 1,001–1,250 kg vehicle in Eastern Cape; an estimate, not a quote. Your quote is worked out in the app from your own vehicle's details and shown to you before you pay anything. RTMC sets the final fee.

A motorcycle, caravan, tractor or trailer of 750 kg or less pays R99.00 admin instead of R201.00.

Source: the published provincial fee tables EasyNatis quotes from, updated when a province's schedule changes. Fees are per year and exclude any penalties for a lapsed disc. RTMC sets the final fee for your vehicle.

Compare all nine provinces on one page or work out your own vehicle.

Pay monthly. Never miss a renewal again.

One scan, one small debit a month, and the next disc arrives before the old one runs out.

  1. Step 01

    Scan your disc

The app reads your vehicle off the barcode. Nothing to type, nothing to get wrong.

  2. Step 02

    We spread the cost

Your licence fee, NATIS's transaction fee, RTMC's delivery and our admin fee, added up and divided over the months to your expiry, up to 12. Debited monthly from your card. From the next renewal the total is spread again, usually over 12 months; the app quotes your exact amounts.

  3. Step 03

We renew and post the disc

Before it expires, to your door. Next year renews automatically — no once-off. Reminders before every renewal. Cancel anytime from the app.

Frequently asked questions: Eastern Cape

How much does licence renewal cost in Eastern Cape?

The licence fee depends on your vehicle's tare weight and type; the full table for Eastern Cape is on this page. A 1,001–1,250 kg car pays R474.00 a year for the licence, plus NATIS's R72.00 transaction fee, RTMC's R99.00 delivery and our R201.00 admin fee: R846.00 in total, or R70.50 a month over 12 months. A motorcycle, caravan, tractor or trailer of 750 kg or less pays R99.00 admin instead of R201.00.

What is the 2026 licence disc renewal price in Eastern Cape?

In 2026 a 1,001–1,250 kg car in Eastern Cape pays R474.00 a year for its licence. With NATIS's R72.00 transaction fee that is R546.00 at a registering authority, and NaTIS Online adds RTMC's R99.00 delivery. With EasyNatis it is R846.00 for the year including that delivery and our R201.00 admin fee, or R70.50 a month over 12 months. Heavier cars pay more and lighter ones less: the full Eastern Cape table is on this page.

Is Eastern Cape an expensive province for vehicle licence fees?

Eastern Cape's licence fee for a 1,001–1,250 kg car, R474.00 a year, is the joint cheapest of the nine provinces, level with North West. Limpopo is the most expensive at R540.00. Only the licence fee differs by province: NATIS's R72.00 transaction fee, RTMC's R99.00 delivery and our admin fee are the same wherever you live, so a cheaper licence fee is a cheaper total.

How is my monthly amount worked out?

We take the licence fee for your vehicle, NATIS's R72.00 transaction fee, RTMC's R99.00 delivery and our admin fee (R201.00; R99.00 for motorcycles, caravans, tractors and light trailers), and divide the total by the number of months until your disc expires, up to 12. Nothing is added on top. A 1,001–1,250 kg vehicle in Eastern Cape with a full year to run pays R846.00 over 12 months, R70.50 a month; starting with six months left means the same total over six payments.

Are these Eastern Cape licence fees current?

This is the table the EasyNatis app bills against today, and the app quotes from it on the day you scan your disc, so the amount shown here is the amount you pay. Provinces set and change their own fees, and we update the table when a schedule changes.

Which areas of Eastern Cape do you deliver to?

All of them, including Port Elizabeth, East London, Mthatha, Grahamstown, Uitenhage, and every other town and suburb in Eastern Cape. The R99.00 delivery fee is charged by RTMC, not by us, and it is already included in the amount you are quoted. Nothing extra is payable when your disc arrives.

How long does delivery take in Eastern Cape?

Once NATIS has renewed the licence, the disc is couriered to your Eastern Cape address and you get a tracking number. The courier, not EasyNatis, controls the day it arrives, so we do not promise one; we start the renewal early enough that it does not matter.

Can I start before my licence expires?

Yes, and the earlier the better. With more months until your expiry the same total is spread over more payments, so each one is smaller.

What if my licence disc has already expired in Eastern Cape?

We can still renew it. When a disc is renewed late, the licensing authority adds arrears and penalties to the amount owed. We ask them for the exact figure for your vehicle and show you that number before you pay anything, so there is no guessing and no surprise charge later.

Does renewing early cost me part of a year?

No. If you renew before your disc expires, your new expiry is a year on from the current one, so you keep every month you have already paid for. This is why renewing late is worse than it first looks: once a disc has lapsed, the new expiry is measured from the renewal instead, and the time in between is gone.

What do I need to sign up?

Your current licence disc, a delivery address and a card. The app reads the vehicle details off the disc's barcode, so there is nothing to type in and nothing to get wrong.

Can I renew more than one vehicle?

Yes. Each vehicle runs as its own plan with its own expiry date and its own monthly amount, so a car and a trailer renewing in different months stay independent of each other.

What happens to the money I've paid if I sell my car?

It stays yours. Every payment goes into your EasyNatis wallet, and wallet money is only spent on a renewal once the full amount has been collected and the renewal has passed its checks. If we have not renewed the disc yet, the balance stays in your wallet when you cancel that vehicle's plan: put it towards another vehicle, or request a payout from your profile in the app, where the withdrawal fee is shown before you confirm. If we had already renewed the disc, that money was spent on the renewal and the disc goes with the car to its new owner. If the buyer also uses EasyNatis and takes the vehicle over, your balance stays with you, not with the car.

I've got a new car. Can I move my plan and my balance to it?

Yes. Scan the new disc in the app and choose the vehicle it replaces. We cancel the old plan, move everything you have saved onto the new one, and work out a new monthly amount from the new vehicle's licence fee and expiry date. If what you have saved is more than the new vehicle's year costs, your monthly payments pause until the balance has been used. Nothing you have paid is lost.
